1. Becoming a Customer
1.1 You must be at least 18 years old, reside within our delivery area, and hold a valid debit/credit card to place an order.
1.2 We reserve the right to decline any order or suspend your account at our discretion.
1.3 By placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
2. Your Account
2.1 You are responsible for the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
2.2 You must provide accurate and up-to-date information at all times.
3. Contract Formation
3.1 You will receive an order confirmation email. This is an acknowledgment only and not an acceptance.
3.2 A binding contract is formed only when your goods are delivered.
4. Amending or Cancelling Orders
4.1 Orders can be amended or cancelled within 1 hour of placement.
4.2 Cancellations after the 1-hour window but before dispatch may incur charges up to the full order value, including delivery.
4.3 To cancel or amend, email info@spicevillagehalalmeats.co.uk with your order number and delivery address.
4.4 If an item is unavailable, we may offer a replacement, refund, or e-voucher.
5. Price & Delivery Charges
5.1 All prices include applicable taxes and delivery charges.
5.2 Weekday Delivery (Mon–Fri):
£7.99 – Orders under 10 kg
£8.99 – Orders 10 kg+ and under £100
Free – Orders of £100 or more
5.3 Weekend Delivery (Sat–Sun): £9.99 flat rate on all orders
5.4 Orders must be placed by 12pm for next-day delivery (7 days a week).
5.5 Payment is taken at the time your order is confirmed.
6. Delivery
6.1 Orders are dispatched on your selected delivery date. DPD typically delivers within 24–48 hours from dispatch.
6.2 You must ensure someone is available to accept the delivery.
6.3 For gated or restricted access addresses, provide clear instructions or access codes. Failure to do so may cause missed deliveries.
6.4 If no one is present, DPD may:
Leave the parcel at your doorstep or safe location,
Deliver to a neighbour, or
Return the parcel to depot for destruction.
6.5 We are not liable for theft, damage, tampering, or contamination of unattended parcels.
6.6 If you’ve instructed unattended delivery, liability ends once the parcel is marked as delivered by DPD.
6.7 External factors (e.g. weather, traffic, courier delays) may affect delivery times. We will update you if delays occur. Our liability is limited to the value of goods and delivery fee.
7. If You Are Dissatisfied
7.1 Inspect goods on receipt and contact us immediately if there are issues.
7.2 Service complaints are reviewed within one business day.
7.3 Quality issues are reviewed by our Head Butcher. You may be asked to retain the item for inspection.
7.4 Due to the nature of fresh meat, returns are not accepted. At our discretion, we may issue an e-voucher or credit within three business days.
8. Limitations of Liability
8.1 We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or profit-related losses.
8.2 We are not liable for goods delivered to unattended addresses.
8.3 You must refrigerate or freeze perishables immediately after delivery. We are not liable for spoilage due to delays in doing so.
8.4 Product weights may vary slightly due to natural trimming and cutting processes.
9. Account Deletion
9.1 You may delete your account anytime via your account dashboard.
9.2 We retain personal data as required by law and for payment processing. Backups are purged within one month.
10. General Provisions
10.1 These Terms & Conditions represent the full agreement between you and Spice Village Halal Meats.
10.2 Changes to these terms or website content will not affect existing orders.
10.3 These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in England, Wales, and Scotland.
